Connect in a minute

You sign in to Invoice Candy once and choose Allow. The assistant never sees your password.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector (under Advanced settings, turn on developer mode if you don’t see the option).
  3. Name it Invoice Candy, paste https://invoicecandy.com/mcp, and choose OAuth.
  4. Sign in to Invoice Candy and click Allow.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Invoice Candy and paste https://invoicecandy.com/mcp.
  4. Click Connect, sign in to Invoice Candy and click Allow.

Codex and other apps

  1. Add a remote MCP server with the URL https://invoicecandy.com/mcp.
  2. When the app asks you to sign in, log in to Invoice Candy in your browser.
  3. Click Allow. You’re connected.

Menu names change from time to time in each app. If you get stuck, email [email protected].

You stay in control

It asks before it acts

Your assistant checks with you before it emails a client, records or removes a payment, deletes a document or changes your business details.

Emails go to your client, only

Invoices and reminders only go to the client’s own address on file, and the assistant has to name it first. If an AI app changes a client’s email, AI sending to that client waits 30 minutes.

No money moves

It records payments you already received. It can’t charge cards, move money, change your plan, or remove a payment a client made online.

Everything is logged

Every change and email an AI app makes is listed under Account settings → Connected apps, including anything Invoice Candy refused to do.

Disconnect anytime

One click in Account settings cuts an app off immediately. Resetting your password disconnects every app at once.

Only apps you started

Invoice Candy only connects to ChatGPT, Claude and apps on your own computer, and the sign-in screen always names the app asking.

For developers

Remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) at https://invoicecandy.com/mcp. Sign-in is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration; metadata is at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server and /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource. Document tools return an MCP Apps preview.

Does it cost extra?

No. The connector works on every Invoice Candy plan, including Free. Emails it sends count toward your plan's monthly sending limit, the same as sending from Invoice Candy.

Which AI assistants work with Invoice Candy?

ChatGPT, Claude and Codex, plus any other app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in (OAuth). They all connect to the same address: https://invoicecandy.com/mcp.

Can the assistant take money or charge my clients?

No. It can record a payment you already received, but it can never charge a card, move money or change your plan. It can't remove a payment a client made online through Stripe or PayPal either.

Can it email my clients without asking?

The assistant asks you before it sends anything, and tells you the exact email address. Invoice Candy only ever sends to the client's own address on file, and holds off for 30 minutes after an AI app changes a client's email.

What does the AI see?

Only what it needs to answer you: your invoices, estimates, receipts, clients, payments and business details. Your assistant handles that information under its own privacy settings. Invoice Candy doesn't use your data to train AI. Details are in our privacy policy.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

Open Account settings in Invoice Candy and click Disconnect next to the app under Connected apps. It loses access right away. Resetting your password disconnects every app too.
